WHAT IN THE NAME OF DIN IS THIS?!?

...

...

I-I...can't move. Ugh... HELP ME! SOMEONE RESCUE ME FROM THIS GOD-FORSAKEN HALLWAY BEFORE I GET STEPPED ON! Or worse, eaten...

((Ezlo = turned to gingerbread. Feel free to make fun of/attempt to eat/whatever him, but Armstrong gets to rescue him. ^_^))

So many students moping about over their animals today... Look at the bright side, students! Perhaps if you ask nicely, Professor Ishtar will let you keep them as pet rocks afterwards!

Breakfast cereal. How unusual.

Far too many people are still falling asleep during my class and showing up late. Young Mr....Hylia, I think his name was...has already served a detention for his repeated tardiness. Let this be a warning to you all. From now on, I will no longer have any leniency in regards to this. Showing up late to class or dozing off during one of my lectures will earn you an instant detention.

Listen up, students! I have an important announcement to make. Now that Professor Ishtar no longer requires my services as a substitute professor, I shall begin teaching as a full-time professor of History of Magic tomorrow. For those of you who aren't taking History of Magic, don't fret! I shall still be subbing in other classes from time to time. As for those of you who are, come prepared to take a lot of notes, and I mean a lot. Also, if I catch you sleeping in class, you will regret it~ That is all.

((Just for the record, this has been Sephy-approved. ^_^))

I see that all of you students and quite a number of my fellow professors have been hit by what you are all calling the "Genderswitch." That is certainly one perk to being a hat~ As an inanimate object, there isn't much that can be done to change my gender, so ha!

...Wait, what in Merlin's name just happened to my voice? It's feminine! And suddenly, I actually have eyelashes...

...

Nevermind...

It's nice to have you students back here, I must say. Mainly because Peeves is far too busy tormenting the 'icle firsties' to bother me for the time being, but that's not the point. And I think that most of you gained the ability to actually watch where you're going over the summer. I've only been stepped on twice since school started back and those two students recieved quite a talking to, I assure you.

On another note, in the time that I've been on staff here, my services as a substitute professor have yet to be called upon. With this in mind, I have been toying with the idea of asking Headmaster Dumbledore to allow me to teach a full-time class on magical artifacts. But, before I ask him, I would like to know how many students would actually be interested in attending such a class. So, students please comment here if you would be interested.

((Feel free to have one of your characters be one of the ones that stepped on him. You know you want your character to be able to complain about being yelled at by a hat! XD Also, mods, is it okay for Ezlo to teach his own class?))

DAMNED POLTERGEIST! DAMNED BOOKCASE! ASH! SOMEONE! HELP ME!

((Peeves pushed a bookcase over on top of Ezlo. Seeing as he's a hat, he wasn't harmed. He just can't move.))

Egypt is just lovely! Marik's house is beautiful, and so large, too~ I have to admit that the dogs made me a bit nervous at first, but they are very well-behaved! I suppose I shouldn't have expected any less from the pets of the Care of Magical Creatures professor.

Anyway, it feels good to be away from that bloody poltergeist! Here, I don't have to worry about anyone shoving me into a sock drawer!

Things are so quiet around here without all of you students about! It's grand~ A hat can hop down the halls without being stomped on! The only annoyances around now are Mrs. Norris and Peeves! But Mrs. Norris is sulking because of a rather hairy incident. Whoever is responsible for that, bravo! And the Bloody Baron is keeping Peeves in check so, I am free to hop the halls!

Ash, if you need me, I'll be in the library!

Well, I've thought about it, and I think that it would be easiest for me to stay here and keep the Sorting Hat company over the break. Headmaster Dumbledore, would that be alright?

((Erm, mods? If this is not okay just let me know. And I would love you forever if one of you would NPC Dumbledore for his response. ^_^))

Hmm...I haven't seen the Bloody Baron or Peeves since the sock drawer incident. I wonder if everything was taken care of? I don't see why it wouldn't be, though. That Bloody Baron doesn't seem like the type who'd mess around.

[Private, unintentionally hackable
Hmm...I do wonder what I'll do when this school year is over. It hadn't really occured to me before, but this isn't a year-round job. I suppose if nothing else turns up, I could stay here and get to know the Sorting Hat. I imagine he would welcome the company.

Well, eventually, I was rescued from that god forsaken sock drawer. Thank you, Miss...Kasuga, was it? I am in your debt.

And Peeves? I'm sure you will be absolutely ecstatic to hear that I spoke with the Bloody Baron this morning.

Would someone mind giving a poor hat a hand? It would appear that that bloody poltergeist has locked me in someones sock drawer. It reeks in here. I'm not one-hundred percent sure how I can tell that, because as far as I know, I am without a nose. None-the-less, it does smell terrible and I would appreciate being rescued.

Oh, and Peeves? When I get out of here, I believe I'm going to go have a word with the Bloody Baron. Your disrespect will not go un-punished.

Mr. Elric, if you would be so kind as to meet me in my office, we can get this detention over with. I have a dictionary here from which you will copy the definition of the word "short" for 4 feet of parchment. In addition, I want another 4 feet of lines. You will write "I will be polite when addressing professors, for they are older and wiser than I am."

((Again, if this is not okay, say the word and it's gone.))

Mr. Elric, I believe you still have a detention to serve, correct? If you do not come to me to set up a date, I shall be forced to have a chat with Headmaster Dumbledore.

((Edward-mun, if this isn't okay, just let me know and I'll delete it.))

Movin' to the country,
gonna eat a lot of peaches
Movin' to the country,
Gonna eat me a lot of peaches
Movin' to the country,
gonna eat a lot of peaches
Movin' to the country,
gonna eat a lot of peaches

Peaches come from a can,
they were put there by a man
In a factory downtown
If I had my little way,
I'd eat peaches every day

Well...that's...interesting. I suppose it is, at least, an improvement from the last song. Anyway, aside from these annoying singing journals, I don't believe that anything noteworthy is going on. Professor Ishtar, if it is alright with you, I believe I will spend tomorrow in your classroom. Perhaps I may be of use there?

Umm...what exactly is my journal going on about? Everytime I open it, it starts singing about its humps and its lovely lady lumps. I thought it was a book, not a female camel in heat!

((Yeah, Ezlo's journal is singing "My Humps" by the Black Eyed Peas.))

Well, I'm glad to see that the first years have returned to their normal selves. Hopefully, that means that I will no longer have to dodge drool and grubby little hands. -_-

So, I have yet to be called upon for my services and I'm afraid that I'm terribly bored. This is just a reminder to all of my fellow professors. If ever you need a substitute teacher, feel free to ask me.
